How to play

1

Draw

Pull a Crayon to draw a question. A correct answer earns a crayon reward — a wrong answer passes the turn.

2

Play a Crayon

Use your reward to play: Crayon places one mark, Swap Crayon trades one of your marks with a neighboring opponent mark, and Bomb Crayon erases one opponent mark of your choice.

3

Lightning Strike

Watch the charge bar above the board — when it fills, a Lightning Strike automatically drops new marks for both teams, no question needed.

4

Win

Build four in a row across, down, or diagonally to win. If nobody makes a line before the questions run out, it's a tie.

Why use Super Toe

  • Every correct answer changes the board — students choose where to place, swap, or erase, so knowledge and strategy both matter every turn.

  • The Bomb and Swap Crayons create dramatic comeback moments that can flip who's ahead in a single turn.

  • The board gives the whole class a live visual to follow — every mark placed, swap made, and Lightning Strike lands as a shared classroom moment.

  • Runs on one screen with no student devices needed. Add your own questions and start in under a minute.

FAQ

Yes. Two teams — Team O and Team X — take turns answering questions and placing marks on the board. Solo mode is also available where one team plays against a bot.

The Bomb Crayon lets a team erase one opponent-marked cell of their choice. It can undo part of an opponent's winning setup or open space on a crowded board, and its chance of appearing grows as more questions are answered.

The Swap Crayon lets a team trade one of their marks with a neighboring opponent mark, repositioning the board without adding a new mark.

A Lightning Strike is an automatic, team-neutral event that fires twice during a match once the charge bar fills. It drops new marks for both teams at once — it doesn't cost either side a turn and isn't tied to answering a question.

Yes. The board grows automatically based on how many questions you add — a smaller set gives a tighter board and a quicker game, while a larger set opens up a bigger board with more room for strategy. No manual setup needed.

The general host settings cover team count, question count, visual theme, sound effects, and text-to-speech. Super Toe also lets you turn Lightning Strike off for a longer, more traditional match instead of the faster default pace.

No. Super Toe runs on one teacher screen or projector for whole-class play with no apps or logins required.

Yes. Create your own activity and add questions for any subject or topic.

Most sessions run 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how many questions and teams you use.
